Tender description

This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) only: publication and a call for competition will be conducted once scope of work is fully defined and approved. This programme — “Data and Evidence for Tackling Extreme Poverty Research Programme” (DETEP) — will have 3 themes: 1) developing better data and measures of extreme poverty, at local, national and global levels; 2) analysis of the changing causes of poverty and structural drivers of poverty reduction; 3) “what works” impact evaluation and operational research that identifies what programming approaches are most effective in supporting poverty reduction in different contexts. Theme 3 is explicitly operational in focus. Success will require the supplier to actively engage with DFID and HMG country and policy teams to ensure that new evidence is taken up in operations.
