PLACE-BASED DATA AND MITIGATING LOCAL IMPACTS OF MIGRATION: QUALITATIVE RESEARCH (CONTRACT 1)

TENDERERS PLEASE NOTE THAT Leeds City Council is advertising an opportunity to bid for two linked but separate contracts. Contract 1 is the ‘Place-based data and mitigating local impacts of migration: qualitative research’ with contract reference DN363420. Contract 2 is the ‘Place-based data and mitigating local impacts of migration: project evaluation’ with contract reference DN363489. Tenderers may bid for both Contract 1 and Contract 2. HOWEVER, A TENDERER WILL ONLY BE AWARDED A MAXIMUM OF ONE OF THESE CONTRACTS (I.E. CONTRACT 1 OR CONTRACT 2 BUT NOT BOTH). If a tenderer submits the highest scoring bid for both contracts, that tenderer will be asked to state which contract they wish to be awarded. The second placed bidder will be awarded whichever contract that the first placed bidder has declined. This qualitative research project is part of a broader project to address the incomplete understanding of how and why migration impacts differently on local communities in Yorkshire and Humber, and how local authorities learn, deal with and mitigate these impacts. We want to explore how migration interacts with other socio-economic issues at community levels, and how different types of communities respond to migration. Ultimately, our project should improve how local authorities prepare for and mitigate issues related to new migration. Keywords: Refugees, Immigration, Research project
