Tender description

Devon County Council and Torbay Council are seeking to put in place a contract for an Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health Service and Targeted Sexual and Reproductive Health Prevention Service, for residents in the Devon County Council and Torbay areas (excluding the unitary authority of Plymouth). Devon County Council and Torbay Council have a statutory responsibility to improve the health and well-being of their resident populations and reduce health inequalities. The local authorities are required by regulation to provide open access sexual health services for everyone present in their area covering: — free testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STI), — notification of sexual partners of infected persons, — free contraception, and — reasonable access to all methods of contraception. The services in Lot 1a consist of: — Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health Services including digital, across the Devon County Council area. This service will provide basic (Level 1), intermediate (Level 2) and complex sexual and reproductive healthcare (Level 3) provision, with clear and seamless pathways and integration with HIV specialist services commissioned by NHS England. Based on local needs assessment and intelligence data, — co-ordination and management of the local element of the national chlamydia screening programme for 15-24 year olds, — specialist reproductive sexual health clinical training (healthcare professionals). 3 / 4 — psychosexual support services (Those elements not commissioned by the Clinical Commissioning Group). The services in Lot 1b consist of: — Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health Services including digital, across the Torbay Council area. This service will provide basic (Level 1), intermediate (Level 2) and complex sexual and reproductive healthcare (Level 3) provision, with clear and seamless pathways and integration with HIV specialist services commissioned by NHS England. Based on local needs assessment and intelligence data — co-ordination and management of the local element of the national chlamydia screening programme for 15-24 year olds — Specialist reproductive sexual health clinical training (healthcare professionals). 3 / 4 — Psychosexual support services (Those elements not commissioned by the Clinical Commissioning Group).
