It is not a formal invitation to tender. Islington Council is looking to procure mental health community support and recovery services to create an integrated Mental Health Recovery Pathway. This will include open access day opportunities, intensive psycho-social support, reablement service, and an out-of-hours recovery support service. These services will support adults to prevent deterioration in their mental health, to enable a recovery from episodes of mental ill-health and develop greater self-management and independence. An information and engagement event is being held on Tuesday 18.9.2018. Who should attend? Providers of high quality, person centred services with expertise with the client-group. This includes smaller voluntary sector providers as well as larger organisations. Providers of recovery-focused support services in the community for people with mental health conditions and complex needs. Background We are looking to re-model community support and recovery services for people with mental health problems in Islington. This procurement exercise aims to rationalise five contracts currently being delivered into one to create a Mental Health Recovery Pathway. The key drivers for this pathway re-design are to develop a more strengths-based model which supports recovery, the development of self-management skills and a visible and coordinated peer recovery network. This event should give providers an overview of the borough’s demographic footprint and the market for delivering community support and recovery services. The event will also cover the Council’s vision for the Mental Health Recovery Pathway and the procurement process.
