Tender description

Gallagher has the sole appointment as insurance brokers to Denbighshire County Council (herein referred to as DCC) to prepare the Invitation to Tender (ITT) document and access insurers via a OJEU Open tender exercise This is in relation to the Council’s full insurance portfolio. This is due to the expiry of the Long Term Agreement (LTA) with their current insurers on 30.7.2018. Bids from Insurance brokers via in house schemes or facilities (with the exception of Managing General Agent or Managing General Agent type organisations) are not required, with the exception of Gallagher as the Authority’s sole appointed broker. The Council is looking to award contracts to Insurance Companies or their nominated exclusive agent. Where a broker is acting as exclusive agent they must be able to evidence this by producing official documentation from the insurer which states this. Without that proof they cannot evidence their exclusivity.
