Tender description
Gateshead Council and The Gateshead Housing Company are seeking a licensed domestic electricity suppler over a private wire network and energy management of void properties. Gateshead Council are seeking A Licensed Domestic Electricity Supplier Over A Private Wire Network. The Council aims to appoint a Gateshead Council is therefore looking to appoint a boundary point supplier to: — provide all residual electricity demand that is not met by the onsite generation, — purchase any exported electricity, and — manage the metering, billing of domestic customers on the private wire network. The successful Supplier is required to support TGHC in minimising the void period by performing the following services: — closing previous tenants’ energy accounts and setting them up in the Gateshead Housing Company’s name, on a zero standing charge tariff, — ensuring that as soon as possible during the void period, the meter and energy supply to the property is useable – preferably by installing a smart meter programmed in credit mode, — performing physical repair works where required (e.g. if meters are damaged or have been tampered with, or if the supply has been disconnected), — providing TGHC with a fixed payment for every void property. It is at TGHC’s discretion to determine how this payment will be used (e.g. a commission payment, credit on a customer’s meter, or a combination of the 2). The successful Supplier will be required to facilitate this process as necessary, — a dedicated team / account manager based in the UK to manage this process on TGHC’s behalf, providing a single point of contact for any queries from the voids housing and repairs managers, — closing TGHC’s energy account and setting up a new energy account in tenant’s name when notified that the property will be re-let. Providing all necessary welcome materials, to be in place by move in date. Ensuring that the tenant is put onto your cheapest, non-fixed term tariff, — providing regular performance reports and meetings to ensure service standards are being met.
