Tender description

Denbighshire County Council is seeking an innovative and progressive partner(s) with the expertise and proven track record in working older people aged 65+ and vulnerable adults who require assistance and support to manage essential activities of daily living. There are 2 parts to this tender: The chosen provider will: 1) Take on, in its entirety, the Hafan Deg Day Centre building, situated in Rhyl, through a 25 year lease with Denbighshire County Council; 2) Run and transform this well-established and valued centre into an innovative and energetic hub for the local community and surrounding area through a 3 year contract with the option to extend for a further 2 years. Partners will provide a focus not only on the quality of care, but also on Welsh language and culture, and will continue to nurture positive relationships with the local community. Partners must be able to demonstrate their: 1) experience in the delivery of quality support services, in particular innovative services and change management experience; and/or 2) experience in engaging local communities; and/or 3) experience of managing buildings for social care enterprises; 4) experience in achieving outcomes for service users in line with the Social Services and Well Being (Wales) Act 2014. Partners will demonstrate a clear vision for the development of the centre as a community facility, with a focus on promoting independence and well-being. They will provide a wider range of activities for the local community, to develop the potential and promote the independence, choice and control of service users.
