Who Speclialist Work With Delivery team: product manager, delivery manager, service manager, user researcher, business analyst, test developers. Test creators: item writers, occupational psychologists, psychometricians What Specialists Work On The Civil Service uses online tests to sift and select applicants for a wide range of roles. We are introducing a platform to create and deliver tests in-house to transform how government recruits, shortening timelines and improving the user experience. We recently passed our Alpha service assessment and are now moving into Private Beta. Working with expert test creators, including occupation psychologists and psychometricians, you will develop and refine inclusive test items (e.g. questions and scenarios) and test guidance. You will also promote the role of good content design and improve team understanding. Where the Work Takes Place Bush House South West Wing, 44-46 Aldwych, WC2B 4RD Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements Flexible part-time (e.g. typically 2-3 days per week) Team is co-located in Bush House most days with some remote working. Some travel within London for meetings. Work Location Bush House South West Wing, 44-46 Aldwych, WC2B 4RD Security Clearance BPSS Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Have extensive experience of writing web content, with proven ability to create complex content in a clear and succinct way. Experience of working on services which align to the GDS Design Principles and Digital Service Standard. Familiar with GDS content design principles and existing GOV.UK content. Experience of engaging stakeholders to improve understanding of the importance of good content design. Nice to Haves Excellent communications skills and ability to present findings in a creative and compelling way. Experience editing and challenging content created by others in a constructive manner. Experience of coaching/mentoring others to build their knowledge of content design. Experience in other digital design roles (such as interaction design, user research etc.).
