This notice relates to the provision of IT infrastructure (Hardware) and associated services (build). This will form part of the ongoing collocation facilities project at Southern Water, but is limited to the Hardware and associated services only, not to include provision of collocated facilities or migration of current Southern Water applications. A scope has been listed below. — Provision of hyper-converged compute, storage and network infrastructure, — Physical Network and Load Balancing, — Backup and Restore, Data Replication, Data Archiving, — Design, Installation, Warranty and 3rd Level Support (not run and maintain), — Virtual software solutions. The envisaged term of the Collocation Infrastructure (Hardware) contract is to run for an initial term of 5 years, with an option to extend by a further period, or periods, up to 5 years (10 years total). The envisaged term of the Collocation Infrastructure (Hardware) contract is to run for an initial term of 5 years, with an option to extend by a further period, or periods, up to 5 years (10 years total). Any extension taken will be associated only to the warranty and third level support of both the software and Hardware. Further information can be obtained by reviewing the Opportunity Listing on the Southern Water e-sourcing portal, Bravo. The Notice follows the Southern Water Supplier Day, for both Co-Location providers and providers of Hyper-Converged solutions on the 5th of September, and acts as an RFI for suppliers to raise any questions or concerns about the proposed infrastructure solution. Prospective tenderers should ensure that they have registered to the Southern Water portal, and ensure that they have registered interest in Prj_976. Further information will be released through the portal. A contract notice will formally start the tender process. The supplier day presentation pack is available by viewing the opportunity listing in Bravo. The pack should be taken as a draft and is not the final set of requirements. Any feedback on the current proposed infrastructure/Hardware solution should be submitted to the procurement lead, or through the e-sourcing portal. Feedback must be provided before 21st of September to be considered. A final scope and contract notice is envisaged to be released in October 2018, subject to change. It is envisaged that the contracting activity and Hardware delivery and set up will be concluded within the early part of 2019.
