Collection and Recycling Services for Historical Farm Tyre Waste.

Tender description

The Irish Farm Film Producers' Group CLG (IFFPG) is the national farm plastics recycling scheme. IFFPG's role is to provide a comprehensive farm plastics recycling service to Irish farmers through an annual bring-centres programme. IFFPG has agreed to a request by the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment to provide an historical farm tyre waste recycling service on its behalf. A fund of approximately €675,000 (excl. VAT) has been made available for this purpose. The RFT is divided into 10 lots, with lots 1-8 relating to the collection and baling of farm tyre waste, while lots 9-10 relate to the recycling of farm tyre waste collected. Tenderers are invited to tender for whatever number of lots that they consider appropriate. IFFPG may award contracts for lots 1-10 to one or more tenderers. Lots 1-8: Collection and Baling: To manage and operate up to 8 IFFPG organised one day historical farm tyre bring-centres, to remove collected farm tyre waste to an appropriately licenced / permitted waste facility and to bale tyre waste in preparation for supply to recycling facilities. Bring-centre Locations (Lots 1-4 confirmed) Lot 1. Kilmallock, Co. Limerick Lot 2. Athenry, Co. Galway Lot 3. New Ross, Co. Wexford Lot 4. Cootehill, Co. Cavan Lots 5-8 (provisional on sufficient funding remaining after lots 1-4 are completed) Lot 5. Mohill, Co. Leitrim Lot 6. Kells, Co. Meath Lot 7. Roscrea, Co. Tipperary Lot 8. Fermoy, Co. Cork IFFPG will organise and promote the bring-centres. Detailed operational requirements in relation to the operation of bring-centres, as well as in relation to the baling of farm tyre waste are provided in Appendix 1 A. Lots 9-10: Recycling: To organise for the recycling of farm tyres waste collected at bring-centres on behalf of IFFPG. Details in relation to recycling service requirements are provided in Appendix 1 A. IFFPG may offer lots 9-10 to one or two tenderers.
