Tender description

This specification comprises of all activities associated with providing a Window Cleaning Service for Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. The type and nature of the council’s buildings warrant a number of window cleaning competencies. These range from a typical standard ground floor cleaning service to a specialised cradle style suspended cleaning technique. The provision for Window cleaning is expected to be conducted but not limited to Monday – Friday and within normal working hours, although there are some exceptions to this. Lot 1 consists of the following: The cleaning of windows to social establishments to include Youth Centres, Libraries, Town centre buildings, including the head office — Riverside House, Care homes and Customer service buildings. It is expected that the cleaning of Riverside House is undertaken at weekends due to the nature of the service Lot 2 consists of the following: The cleaning of internal and external windows, frames and sills plus some canopies at 16 PFI schools throughout Rotherham. The provision for Window cleaning at the 16 PFI schools is expected to be conducted, but not limited to, Monday — Friday and within normal working hours during school holiday periods only
