Buckinghamshire County Council is pleased to confirm that it intends to issue fee quotation documents to Multi Design Team to include Lead Designer, Architect, M & E Consultant, Landscape Architect and CDM Principle Designer, in relation to School Extension, Refurbishment and Remodelling Works. Applications to be considered for inclusion on the fee quotations’ select list are invited from suitably experienced Multi Design Team to undertake the Lead Designer, Architect, M & E Consultant, Landscape Architect and CDM Principle Designer. In order to Express an Interest to be included on the fee quotation list you are required to complete a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) (see further information on this process below). You are asked to note that this EOI for inclusion on the fee quotation list is aimed at Multi Design Team only; who are experienced in delivering School Extension, Refurbishment and Remodelling Works as per the advertisement. The Tender period for this project is 4 weeks, if you are expressing an interest, please ensure you take this period into consideration when submitting your PQQ. Services Description: School Extension Refurbishment and Remodelling Works contracted via a JCT 2016 Traditional form of contract without Quantities, to include full specifications and drawings. The Contractor will be procured through the Buckinghamshire Business Portal via a Two Stage procurement route. A feasibility study and Schools Commissioning Brief has already been produced, and this commission will commence with development of the design from RIBA 1. At Buckingham School, London Rd, Buckingham MK18 1AT The services will be awarded using Buckinghamshire County Councils Standard terms of Consultant Appointment. The project comprises: 1. Conversion of the existing redundant Vehicle Workshop (Room 262). 2. Creation of an external dining and social area adjacent to the ex-vehicle workshop. 3. Allow for the provision of a new Covered Dining Area with seating. 4. Convert existing Classrooms 91, 92, 93, 79, 100, and 107 into 4no new Science Labs. plus 1no Prep Room. 5. Create 2no new fully fitted pupils Changing Rooms from existing accommodation. Consider existing classrooms 47 and 382 to provide 2no changing rooms @ 52m2. Alternatively consider classrooms 102 and 138 to provide 2no changing rooms @ 47m2. 6. Convert the existing surplus Multi Materials Workshop Room 35 into a new fully fitted Art Classroom @ 103m2 with built in storage. Ensure that all surfaces are made to be fully and easily cleaned. 7. From existing oversized classrooms 11, 14, 31, and 33 create 6no new classrooms @ 52m2, 51m2, 61m2 (from classrooms 11 and 14) and 47m2, 66m2, and 60m2 (from classrooms 31 and 33). 8. Check all existing and proposed toilet numbers against BB103 and allow to increase provision wherever necessary. Keywords: Design Team
