Tender description

The services will provide vulnerable young people including “Looked After” young people and “Care Leavers” with the housing related support appropriate to their needs and enable the local authority to meet its statutory duties. The service will provide the support necessary for young people to develop their independent living skills and move on to settled accommodation. The authority endeavours to accommodate the young people within the borough of Milton Keynes and accessible local authorities unless, in exceptional cases, the particular circumstances of the young person concerned demand otherwise. The framework agreement is being procured Under Regulations 74 to 77 of the public contracts Regulations 2015. The authority anticipates occasionally providing opportunities for additional panelists to join the framework. The value of the framework is in the region of 3 000 000 GBP over the initial 5 years term. Lot 1 providers will supply the services within the Borough of Milton Keynes and will provide looked after’ young people, “Care Leavers”, young people assessed as a “Child in Need”, 16 /17 years old at risk of homelessness and unaccompanied asylum seekers with the housing related support appropriate to their needs and enable the local authority to meet its statutory duties as set out in Section 22 of The Children Act 1989 and The Children Act 1989, Guidance and Regulations Volume 3: planning transition to adulthood for Care Leavers (2010 rev 2015). Lot 2 providers will supply the services within the areas Bedfordshire; Central Bedfordshire; Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and will provide looked after’ young people, “Care Leavers”, young people assessed as a “Child in Need”, 16 /17 years old at risk of homelessness and unaccompanied asylum seekers with the housing related support appropriate to their needs and enable the local authority to meet its statutory duties as set out in Section 22 of The Children Act 1989 and The Children Act 1989, Guidance and Regulations Volume 3: planning transition to adulthood for Care Leavers (2010 rev 2015). Lot 3 providers will supply the services within the Areas that have a boundary within 30 miles of Milton Keynes Council Civic Offices (MK9 3EJ): Luton; Hertfordshire; Oxfordshire; Warwickshire; Cambridgeshire; Peterborough. and will provide looked after’ young people, “Care Leavers”, young people assessed as a “Child in Need”, 16 /17 years old at risk of homelessness and unaccompanied asylum seekers with the housing related support appropriate to their needs and enable the local authority to meet its statutory duties as set out in Section 22 of The Children Act 1989 and The Children Act 1989, Guidance and Regulations Volume 3: planning transition to adulthood for Care Leavers (2010 rev 2015).
