The requirement will be for delivery of hired vans to any site in the United Utilities customer catchment area. Quantities of machines to be requested by the business users within the Company. Exact numbers are currently unknown. Attached is an example of the types of vans that would be required for this proposed flexible rental arrangement. Background. United Utilities (UU) is the UK's largest listed water company. Through its subsidiary, United Utilities Water Limited, it manages the regulated water and wastewater network in the North West of England, providing services to around 7 000 000 people and businesses. United Utilities deliver around 1,700 million litres of safe clean drinking water to customers every day through around 40 000 km of water pipes. UU’s vision is to be the best UK water and wastewater company, providing great service to our customers. Service Requirement – Supply of Rental Vans. The scope is for the supply of vans, hired by the Company on a flexible rental arrangement. The estimated rental duration is 2 weeks up to 6 months, with the scope for the rental duration to be longer than 6 months for some requirements. The Company does not intend to sign up to a long term or fixed term rental arrangement, the intention is to easily hire and off hire vans as required on a non-committal, non-time bound basis. The purpose of this PIN is to understand the capability and capacity of the Van rental market. This information will then be used to help determine United Utilities overall approach and any future strategy in relation to procurement of Van Rental services to supplement our owned light commercial van fleet Interested parties are requested to provide information on how your Company could provide part or all of the services required. The scope of this requirement may include but is not limited to the following: — supply and delivery of Vans on a flexible hire arrangement, — fixing artwork / livery to vehicles as necessary, — vehicle conversion / fit out.
