Tender description

The demand for radiology and other diagnostic services (excluding pathology) is rising across the MSB Group (the 3 hospital Trusts in Mid and South Essex: Mid-Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust, Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust), resulting in the need to create additional capacity. For radiology services the trusts have developed a strategy to expand radiology provision both within hospitals but also within new community facilities, giving the potential to separate routine and emergency /urgent work thereby improving efficiency, optimizing processes and improving access to patients to these scans. This prior information notice is being published to explore how best to deliver this. We wish to explore the opportunities of developing an innovative partnership with a 3rd party to deliver these services and deliver the outcomes outlined above.
