Tender description

The CWM Taf Substance Misuse Area Planning Board (APB) is responsible for commissioning and coordinating substance misuse services throughout the Merthyr Tydfil and RCT County Borough areas. The APB’s membership is multi-agency and includes senior representatives of the 2 Local Authorities (RCT and Merthyr Tydfil), Cwm Taf UHB, South Wales Police, Probation, Public Health Wales and Welsh Government. Following a review of current service provision, the APB intends to move to a single Integrated Service Model built on current good practice, but ensuring more efficient collaboration, use of resources and equity of service. The APB’s membership is multi-agency and includes senior representatives of the 2 Local Authorities (Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil), Cwm Taf UHB, South Wales Police, Probation, Public Health Wales and Welsh Government. Following a review of current service provision, the APB intends to move to a single Integrated Service Model built on current good practice, but ensuring more efficient collaboration, use of resources and equity of service. The new service model has been designed and will now need to be implemented. To achieve this RCTCBC acting as the lead commissioner for CWM Taf is undertaking this procurement process in order to secure current and future services. One Lead Provider will be appointed to provide Tier 1 and 2 services across the CWM Taf region.
