Tender description

The Council of the London Borough of Redbridge (“the Authority”) invites tenders for the contract for an integrated HIV prevention and support service in the London Borough of Redbridge (“the Contract”). The main components of the integrated HIV prevention and support service are: — Primary HIV prevention with the black African population, men who have sex with men and other groups at high risk of contracting HIV or having undiagnosed HIV; — Reducing stigma and raising awareness of HIV; — HIV testing to reduce undiagnosed HIV; — Support for Redbridge residents living with HIV and AIDS. The service shall, as a minimum, fulfil the following remits: — To plan, deliver and coordinate HIV prevention and sexual health promotion initiatives to high risk populations in Redbridge, reducing barriers to safer sex and reducing stigma associated with HIV across Redbridge; — To engage and empower target communities to reduce HIV stigma, transmission and late diagnosis within their own communities; — To increase HIV testing in high risk populations in Redbridge by providing an accessible, prompt and rapid HIV testing service to reduce late HIV diagnosis; and — To inform, support and empower the Authority’s residents living with HIV and AIDS to manage their condition, improve their quality of life and live more independently whilst reducing the risk of further HIV transmission.
