Great Western Academy - Tender for Catering, Cleaning, Washroom & Pest Control Services

Great Western Academy (GWA - the client) is a new secondary 11-18 academy for North Swindon which is due to open in 9.2018. It will open on a phased basis, admitting 150 children into year 7 and 80 into year 12 in for the first year. The appointed supplier/s will therefore need to be flexible with regard to the expansion of the services provided as the academy's occupancy grows during the duration of the contract term. The client's vision is to create an outstanding academy that radically improves the life chances of its learners. Students will experience excellent teaching and learning across a comprehensive, flexible and responsive curriculum which meets the needs of all learners and has particular focus on business, enterprise and computing / IT. They will develop social and interpersonal skills, all within a professional, safe and caring environment. Catering services and cleaning, washroom & pest control Services are being tendered as separate Lots, and Suppliers are welcome to apply to bid for either or both Lots, which are therefore: Lot 1 - catering services - estimated annual turnover of between GBP 75 000 (year 1) and GBP 125 000 (year 3); Lot 2 - cleaning, Washroom & Pest Control Services - estimated annual turnover of GBP 90 000. Bids for each Lot will be assessed on their own merit. The Academy intends to select between 3 and 5 suppliers from the SQ process to participate in the full tender process. The contract for both lots will commence on 1.9.2018 and will be for an initial period of 3 years, with the option to extend for 2 further years on a 1 + 1 basis. Facilities and catering services at the academy will play a crucial role in supporting this vision and the client seeks services partners that share this vision and can demonstrate a track record of delivering these outcomes.
