The contract will fulfil the Councils statutory duty to bury or cremate the body of any person who has died within their boundaries, in any case where it appears to the authority that no suitable arrangements have been made, or are being made other than by the authority as outlined in Section 46 or the Public Health (Control of Diseases) Act 1984.
