Fleet management, repair and maintenance services

Tender description

The scope of the procurement is vehicle and plant maintenance service and short term and interim vehicle rental to support our commercial fleet, across all the geographical areas we serve as a business. Maintenance combines scheduled and unscheduled work, fleet administration and short term and interim rental solutions. Fleet Maintenance is an essential contract that keeps our fleet moving, supporting operations to serve our customers. A Fleet transformational journey has been defined to reach the future destination and our maintenance arrangements need to align with this vision. We will structure our procurement in 4 lots: — Lot 1: Vehicle maintenance, — Lot 2: Plant maintenance, — Lot 3: Short term and interim rental, — Lot 4: Fleet administration. We will award lots on a single supplier basis, although there will be no restriction on the number of lots a single supplier could win. Maintenance services includes scheduled and unscheduled/ breakdown work: — garage network and mobile maintenance services, — statutory testing, — statutory testing, — 1448 light commercial vehicles, 249 Cars, and 40 heavy goods vehicles, — provision of mobile tyre supply and fitting, — provision of mobile windscreen and vehicle glass service, — storage and management of pool vehicles. Thames Water Utilities Ltd operates a large and varied fleet of vehicles, ancillaries and mobile plant: — maintenance services includes scheduled and unscheduled/ breakdown work, — statutory testing, — garage network and mobile maintenance services, — 740 Plant, — plant types: dumper, shovel, telehandler, excavator, trailer, generator, salt spreader, jetter, pressure washer — collection and delivery. (nature and quantity of works, supplies or services or indication of needs and requirements; for supplies only – state whether tenders are requested for purchase, lease, rental, hire purchase or any combination of those): — short term rental whilst vehicles are in the garage, — provision of short term hire vehicle services to include vans and cars, — collection and delivery, — storage and management of pool vehicles, — supplier to provide Interim vehicle solution that is fit for purpose for medium term hires, kitted appropriate branding and safety livery.
