Tender description

Flexible DC Power cable is required for the refurbishment and upgrade program on the Riken beamline. This cable will be used to connect the power supplies used to provide the drive current to the various types of magnets used on the accelerator. The power supplies range from 5kW to 100kW with an output current range of 100 Amps DC to 500 Amps DC with the exception of RB2 which has an output of 4200A. Amount Required: 400 Metres Required Packaging: 400 Metre Drums Cable Type: 95mm2 flexible DC Connecting Cable. Amount Required: 3000 Metres Required Packaging: 500 Metre Drums Cable Type: 150mm2 flexible DC Connecting Cable. Amount Required: 500 Metres Required Packaging: 500 Metre Drums Cable Type: 240mm2 flexible DC Connecting Cable. Amount Required: 3500 Metres Required Packaging: 500 Metre Drums There is the potential purchase for additional cables (in the sizes as stated above) over 4 year contract with the successful supplier not exceeding the maximum budget of £195,000. Crown Commercial Service (CCS) will process the email and then enable the Bidder to access the procurement Online via the e-Sourcing Suite. The registered user will receive a notification email to alert them once this has been done. As a user of the e- Sourcing Suite you will have access to Emptoris email messaging service which facilitates all messages sent to you and from you in relation to any specific RFX event. Please note it is your responsibility to access these emails on a regular basis to ensure you have sight of all relevant information applicable to this opportunity.
