CLCH - Merton Rehabilitation Beds

Tender description

The aim of this project is to procure a new community rehabilitation beds for Merton CCG patients. The facility would be required to accept step down patients from acute hospitals and step up from community services and/or primary care. The patients would be supported by 24 hr nursing care of CLCH Nurses and regular medical ward rounds. Therapy services would be provided daily for rehabilitation of physiotherapy and occupational therapy goals, other AHP services would be accessed as required and delivered by CLCH community services. The majority of patients requiring community rehabilitation are the frail elderly population who require additional support to recover and rehabilitate from illness or injury. Other patient cohorts will be accepted where their rehabilitation needs require a bedded facility which cannot be supported in the community with appropriate community rehabilitation services. The service is for patients in Merton, and so the unit must either be in Merton or within a one mile proximity of the borough border. This procurement is being carried out as an accelerated open procedure due to the tight timescales and implications for clinical care if the contract is not in place by 22/10/2018.
