Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Healthy Schools Service

Tender description

Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council in partnership with the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire are inviting organisations to submit proposals to provide a Healthy Schools Service to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough schools. A contract is being offered for an initial three-year period with an option to extend by a further two years. The value of the contract over the initial three-year period is £726,000. The potential value of the two-year extension is £484,000. The contract will begin on 01 September 2018. The key aims of the service will be to further develop the work that schools have already undertaken to contribute to the improvement of the health and well-being of children and young people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and the reduction of health inequalities. The key objectives of the service will be: • To establish a cost effective, evidence based Healthy Schools Service across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. • To establish a \"whole school\" approach co-produced by staff, students, parents/carers and their communities. • To establish provision that is universally accessible, but with a scale and intensity that reflects the differing levels of disadvantage across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. • To establish provision that is adaptable to address the needs of the schools supported.
