Tender description

Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust intends to procure a Da Vinci surgical Robotic system, associated consumables and maintenance from Intuitive Surgical to assist predominantly with Urological procedures (Prostatectomy, Partial Nephrectomy and Cystectomy). The intended procurement of the Robot provides the recognised benefits when compared to Open and Traditional Laparoscopic surgery of reduced length of stay, reduced trauma, less blood loss, improved functional outcomes, less analgesic requirement and faster recovery and return to normal activities.
