Future provision of Councils Traffic Signal Equipment and Intelligent Transport systems asset This PIN Notice is raised to make suppliers aware of a future procurement Warwickshire County Council intends to run. Before starting any process, the Council and its collaborating Authorities wish to engage with the Supply base to explain its intentions and to learn from the market itself in how best to achieve this. Full details of the required provision and the arrangements between the collaborating Authorities can be gained in question II2.4 Description of the Procurement and VI.3 "Additional Information". Interested parties are to register their interest in the opportunity, on the Council's etendering system http://www.csw-jets.co.uk/ where full details of a Supplier Event, held by Warwickshire County Council will be available and from where they can confirm their attendance. Scope of Traffic Signal Maintenance Provision The Works (core service) consist of the maintenance, inspection and repair of each Authority’s assets and the installation of new assets including the upgrade of existing assets: (a) Traffic Signals including Wig-Wag Signals (b) Pedestrian Crossings including Pelican, Puffin, Toucan, Pegasus Crossings and Pedestrian Only Traffic Signals. The Works (core service) includes for the maintenance, inspection and repair of Optical unit (Lamps and LED) associated with traffic signals intersections and any type of pedestrian crossing facilities. The Works (additional service) can consist of any of the items associated with the maintenance, inspection and repair of each Authority’s assets associated with Intelligent Transport Systems and the installation of new assets including the upgrade of existing assets. The Works (additional service) includes for the maintenance, inspection and repair of Optical unit (Lamps and LED) associated with Intelligent Transport Systems. Collaboration Warwickshire County Council will act as the lead authority in a collaborative tendering process including Coventry City Council and Nottingham City Council. The progression and final award of this procurement will be made by Warwickshire County Council in consultation with the other Authorities. As lead, Warwickshire County Council will enter into the contract on behalf of itself and the collaborating Authorities. The other Authorities will not be parties to the Contract but shall be responsible for supervising and administering the relevant works and/or services carried out in relation to their areas. These arrangements would be formalised between the Authorities using back-to-back agreements. Market Engagement Warwickshire County Council wishes to engage with the Market to understand any advancements in how the required works and services can be provided and the benefits available to the Authorities involved. Warwickshire County Council will be hosting the Supplier event on Monday 1.10.2018 to explain how the Council intends to continue with the provision over the next contract. During the event, the Councils involved wish to learn how interested suppliers would like the provision to be organised, any foreseeable implementation issues and what good contract performance looks like. To attend the Supplier event please register onto the Council e-tendering portal http://www.csw-jets.co.uk/ and express an interest in the Market Engagement exercise. Suppliers who do this will receive an invitation and further details regarding the Supplier Event.
