Refuse and waste related services

Tender description

Tenders are invited from interested parties for the provision of waste collection services at Keele University in accordance with the tender specification in Section 2 of the ITT. Given the need for 1 service provider to coordinate the delivery of all of the services required, the contract has not been divided into lots. The contract will run for a period of 2 years from 1.8.2018 to 31.7.2020 with options to extend for 1 further periods of 1 year. The decision of whether to take up the extension options will be down to the absolute discretion of the University. The estimated total value of the contract over its duration (including the extension options if these are taken up) is 720 000 GBP excluding VAT. Regular collections from over 50 locations across the university campus, of the following waste streams in wheeled bins of various sizes. — General waste Dry Mixed Recyclates (DMR), — glass, — food waste, — green waste, — scrap metals, — confidential waste, — bulky general waste, — mixed builders’ waste, — segregated plasterboard.
