Tender description

On behalf of the North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership, North Ayrshire Council requires to appoint an adult service provider to deliver an intensive supported living service to meet the care and support requirements of adults with complex needs arising from their mental illness for a period of 24 months plus an additional 12 months. Intensive supported living service to meet the care and support requirements of adults with complex needs arising from their mental illness. The service is initially needed to provide for the discharge of patients currently in a long term hospital situation. This service is needed as part of the redesign of mental health services in Ayrshire, shifting the balance of care into community based provision. The majority of Service Users have a longstanding diagnosis of mental illness; have complex needs and behaviours that may challenge. The Service will be delivered within Council owned buildings – Stage 1- 2a and stage 2- 2b Nethermains Road, Kilwinning .The Provider will deliver the service to Service Users who hold their own occupancy agreement with North Ayrshire Council. 2a Nethermains Road – The building comprises 5 bedrooms with ensuite toilet and shower, shared communal living area, kitchen and laundry, a staff office and adjacent rest area, shower and toilet. Each service user will have an occupancy agreement with North Ayrshire Council in terms of a House of Multiple Occupancy. 2b Nethermains Road is adjoined to 2a. and comprises a 2 bedroom single level house with own front door. It will not be used initially but will become part of the service for individuals who will have a tenancy agreement with the council who require less intensive support.
