Firearms Trousers and Shirts

Staffordshire Police are looking to purchase trousers and shirts suitable for use by firearms officers. trousers and shirts to provide impact protection for knee and elbow joints. The trousers and shirts to offer suitable protection for the officers when performing the rigorous duties expected of firearms officers. The shirts, whilst offering some flame retardant protection shall be suitable for wearing under body armour having a moisture wicking property to ensure the comfort of the officers. It is anticipated that the initial requirement will be for circa 160 trousers and 320 shirts; that is sufficient quantity to provide initial kit for approximately eighty firearms officers. The remainder of the contract is to cover the provision of replacement kit and provide for new firearms officers as and when they join the unit.
