Tender description

The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN is to: — give an overview of our work, — ask your views on how the Public Sector could best interact with the Heat Network, Low Carbon Heat, Small Scale Energy Generation and Non-domestic Energy Efficiency markets to obtain services at best value, — seek your views on any related issues/developments in the marketplace that might impact on this project or should be considered when procuring these services, — help us both gain maximum benefit in future commercial relationships. Scotland’s Energy Strategy highlights the importance of small-scale local renewable energy generation, low carbon heat and the energy efficiency of buildings. Scotland’s Public Sector is already active in each of these areas and we expect it to continue to lead by example in the delivery of low carbon energy projects. Realising the ambitions of the Energy Strategy will create opportunities for suppliers and consumers of Energy related products and services. As such, we are keen to ensure that the public sector have access to suppliers who can deliver appropriate technological solutions and maximise the socio-economic benefit of public sector investment.
