Tender description

NHS South of England procurement services, acting on behalf of NHS Leadership Academy (the Commissioner) will be commencing a tender for the Provision of a faculty framework. The key aim of this tender process is to put in place a faculty framework of highly expert practitioners, attuned to the needs of leaders in the health and public sector, embracing the best of what we know about effective leadership and leadership development, who have values congruent with the NHS Constitution. The faculty should be representative of the participants we work with and the communities we serve, reflecting the importance we place on inclusive leadership. Prior information notice: PIN As part of Health Education England (HEE), the NHS Leadership Academy’s philosophy is simple – great leadership development improves leadership behaviours and skills. Better leadership leads to better patient care, experience and outcomes. Our purpose is to work with our partners to develop and deliver outstanding leadership, with an essential focus upon the delivery of quality patient care, through higher levels of staff engagement, and to realise the benefits this will give for patient experience and outcomes. The Academy offers a range of tools, models, programmes and expertise to support individuals, organisations and local partners to develop leaders, celebrating and sharing where outstanding leadership makes a real difference. For the first time, the Academy is looking to tender a faculty team which meets the requirements of the whole Network of Academies, both nationally and locally, and which therefore more broadly covers and aligns all our work. The key aim of this tender process is to put in place a faculty framework that are highly expert practitioners, attuned to the needs of leaders in the health and public sector, embracing the best of what we know about effective leadership and leadership development, who have values congruent with the NHS Constitution. The faculty should be representative of the participants we work with and the communities we serve, reflecting the importance we place on inclusive leadership. As part of this it is important for the Academy to: — broaden the diversity of the faculty team across all areas, — gain full coverage of the skills, knowledge and competencies required to deliver our projects and programmes, — increase the overall capacity of the faculty team. We will be seeking to renew our existing Faculty by recruiting individuals who bring a wide range of skills, experiences and modality of practice to bear. They may be single handed practitioners, sole traders, third sector organisations, part of a small consultancy or team or working within larger consultancies or academic organisations. It is the intention of the commissioner that the procurement will be conducted as a Schedule 3 service using the Light Touch Regime under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The ITT is expected to be published in late August 2018 with delivery of the framework by January 2019. All contracts issued to providers to become members of this Framework will be zero value guaranteed. A separate advert will be released advising when the procurement is live for submissions, at which time all documentation in relation to this procurement will become available. The commissioner reserves the right not to proceed with the Procurement, or any part thereof, or change the requirements and timescales as necessary at any time.
