Stakeholder event for: Domestic abuse and sexual violence in Torbay: Understanding gaps and identifying opportunities

Torbay Council wishes to invite you to an important event on domestic abuse and sexual violence in Torbay, taking place on Friday 14th September, from 9.30am to 1.30pm at 4th Floor South, Tor Hill House, 8 Union St, Torquay TQ2 5QW. The event is being undertaken by AVA on behalf of Torbay Council. The event will provide the opportunity for partners to inform local responses to domestic abuse and sexual violence, and to take part in a workshop on sexual violence, complex needs and trauma. Participants will: • Hear findings from recent mapping activity identifying local need and current gaps in relation to domestic abuse and sexual violence in Torbay • Take part in a consultation session to inform and transform responses to domestic abuse and sexual violence in Torbay • Take part in a workshop on sexual violence, complex needs and trauma informed approaches, delivered by AVA - a national violence against women and girls organisation • Meet with colleagues across sectors to engage in shared learning and discussion Please confirm your attendance by emailing: ruth.atkinson@avaproject.org.uk by Friday 24th August.
