Social Impact Bond Provider Event

Nottingham City Council was successful in securing a small amount of funding to develop a Social Impact Bond (SIB). The aim of the SIB is to maximise the potential of a cohort of 36 working age adults, who are either in residential care or who are at risk of entering into residential care, to successful lead independent lives in a community setting. The support will involve a wrap-around progression service comprising: • Support workers with expertise in mental health and preparation for independent living • Mental health specialist input • A housing partner to source suitable accommodation We are now at the stage where we would like to invite Social Care and Housing Providers to an event on 29 August 2018 10.00-16.00 at the Council House to share with you: • What the proposal is and how you can become involved • What a SIB is? • Next steps The event will be attended by social investors and there will be an opportunity in the afternoon for you to discuss this opportunity: • with investors • with adult social care • with commissioning.
