Provision of Research and Analysis Services for the Skills for the Digital Economy Report

Tender description

The Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation (DBEI) on behalf of the Expert Group for Future Skills Needs (EGFSN) is commissioning a concise piece of research and analysis, for the development of a ‘Skills for the Digital Economy’ report. The study will seek to assess the impact of digitalisation on job roles and sectors across the economy in Ireland and identify potential enterprise and skills policy actions that could address the effects on the workforce over the medium term period of five years. The successful tenderer will undertake quantitative analysis of sectors and roles in Ireland susceptible to change as a result of digitalisation; develop a short synopsis of approaches to upskilling existing workforces; identify enterprise policy actions to address the effects of digitalisation on the workforce; and write 3-4 illustrative case studies to exemplify the impact of digital technology on skills in enterprise in Ireland. The tenderer will be required to integrate the findings from all these elements into a final report. The project will commence in early April 2018 with a final report due by the end of June 2018.
