Tender description

Northumbria Healthcare NHS foundation Trust are exploring potential options in relation to the delivery of pharmacy services and would like to invite interested parties to consider a number of potential options related to the provision of retail pharmacy and/or outpatient dispensing pharmacy. Northumbria Healthcare provides a range of health and care services to support the more than 500 000 people living in Northumberland and North Tyneside. Care is delivered from hospitals, in a range of community venues and in people's own homes. Services include, Emergency and urgent care services including emergency surgery, planned and on-going care and rehabilitation, Outpatient clinics in a range of conditions, Elective surgery, Diagnostic services, Maternity services, Children’s services, End of life care, Therapies, Community services and within Northumberland, Adult Social Care. The Trust require further information, to inform the various options being considered, in relation to the provision of Pharmacy services across their acute hospital sites. In summary some of these options may include: — Retail Pharmacy only, — Retail pharmacy with a GP practice on site, — Retail pharmacy and / or outpatient dispensing pharmacy, — Retail pharmacy and / or outpatient dispensing pharmacy and GP practice on site, — Retail pharmacy and / or outpatient dispensing pharmacy, GP practice on site and any other related services which would add value to the Trust.
