Sheffield CCG are seeking to appoint a single lead contractor to offer a range of Community Optometry Treatment Services from existing optometry providers at scale across the city. The Services are: — Paediatric Referral Refinement (PRR), — Primary Eyecare Acute Referral Scheme (PEARS), — Triage of Optometrist Referrals to secondary care, — Glaucoma Referral Refinement (GRR), — Contact Applanation Tonometry Service (CATS). Sheffield CCG are seeking to appoint a single lead contractor to offer a range of Community Optometry Treatment Services from existing optometry providers at scale across the city. The Services are: — Paediatric Referral Refinement (PRR), — Primary Eyecare Acute Referral Scheme (PEARS), — Triage of Optometrist Referrals to secondary care, — Glaucoma Referral Refinement (GRR), — Contact Applanation Tonometry Service (CATS). The services outlined in the individual service specifications addresses the requirement to reduce unnecessary referrals to secondary care, thus improving the accessibility of services to patients bringing care closer to home and reducing pressure on local secondary care provision. There is a requirement for existing coverage across the city to be retained as a minimum. The contract will be for (3) three year duration with an option to extend for a further 1(one) year. This contract is a cost and volume contract thus there is no guaranteed level of income, the successful bidder will be paid on actual activity undertaken. To give an indication of activity, the 2017/18 actual activity has been enclosed, this is for information only and is not intended to give an accurate representation of any activity the successful bidder may deliver under the Contract.
