Tender description

Public Health England (PHE) is planning to award a contract for the provision of Fluorescent Live Cell Analysis System (IncuCyte S3) to Essen Bioscience. PHE believes that the system is currently the only one in the market capable of meeting specify requirement of the project — European patent for image acquisition within incubators (UK Patent Nr. 2413151). This includes ability of simultaneous imaging and analyzing a mixture of 6 assay plates and operating within a standard tissue culture incubator, so that precise control of temperature, humidity and other environmental factors such as CO2 and oxygen can be maintained. PHE's Culture Collections Unit has been using earlier versions of this technology for over 10 years. It allows cells to be pictured at regular intervals without removing the tissue culture vessels from the incubator so they are not disturbed and their environment is maintained. Therefore the purchase of the IncuCyte S3 Live-Cell Analysis System from Essen Bioscience is the only option available. Please contact mercy.mashem@phe.gov.uk if you have any queries.
