Tender description
London Borough of Sutton is currently undertaking a project to deliver air quality improvements within Sutton Town Centre and is working with businesses, residents and organisations around the town centre on a number of initiatives that will help to reduce the public health implications of exposure to poor air quality. One such location is Robin Hood Junior school where only a wooden fence and the width of the kerb separates the school playground from St Nicholas Way and the bus stops immediately adjacent. In order to reduce the exposure to harmful air pollutants for people using the school and, in particular, its playground, London Borough of Sutton wishes to commission a provider to install a living wall along the fence in between the school playground and the bus stops. This is a Soft Market Testing exercise for the Council to gain an insight into the practicality, capacity, feasibility and deliverability of a living wall at the school boundary within the project area (outlined in the draft specification). The council is therefore inviting all providers to participate in a soft market testing exercise to refine the specification for this commission. Sutton Council will use the information gathered during soft market testing to inform the final specification. All providers are asked to firstly review the draft commissioning specification (and attachment) and then provide answers to the questions asked. All responses should be submitted as an attachment through the messaging system on the portal. The Site address for this commission is:- Robin Hood Junior School, Thorncroft Road, Sutton SM1 1RL A soft market testing event for this commission is also scheduled for Wednesday 29th August between 9.00am and 4.00pm at the Robin Hood Junior School (address above). If you wish to attend, please confirm your attendance via the messaging system on London Tenders Portal by 12 noon on 16th August 2018 at the latest. Only providers who have confirmed attendance by this date will be allocated a time slot to be seen on the day. Keywords: LIVING WALL, GREEN WALL, LIVE WALL
