Tender description

Hertfordshire County Council (the “Council”) is currently out to procurement for the provision of the Provision of Supported Living/Community Support Service in the Welwyn Hatfield area of Hertfordshire. Further information in regards to this opportunity can be found in II.2.4) Description of the procurement field. Organisations wishing to take part in this project are invited to “express interest" which will give access to the full procurement documents in the e-tendering system. Following notice served by a current provider in Hertfordshire, Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) seeks bids from organisations to continue to provide a Supported Living/Community Support (outreach) service across the Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield areas. This opportunity is separate from current work to set up a Framework Agreement for future Supported Living Services in Hertfordshire – we are inviting bids for this specific opportunity now as we will need a new provider in place before the planned start date of the Framework. However, the requirements for this service will align as far as possible to the new requirements we are developing as part of the new Framework. This will include a key focus on enabling people to live meaningful, connected lives and maximising their potential to achieve personal outcomes and live as independently as possible. The service is currently delivered by a single provider – the Council are seeking a provider (or consortia) to deliver the service. The Council will consider sub-contracting arrangements The estimated total value of the Contract is stated in II.1.5) of this notice and is for the initial term inclusive of the approximate value for extensions, For the avoidance of doubt, the estimated annual value of the Contract will be approximately 378 500,00 GBP. The Contract will be awarded for an initial term of two (2) years, three (3) months and twenty one (21) days, with the option to extend the Contract up to one (1) further year. Please note that the contract requirements will be subject to available financial resources, supplier performance and flexibility to meet changing demands. Organisations should be aware that due to the nature of the Services provided, any Contract formed as a result of this procurement process shall be executed as a deed.
