East Dorset District Council (EDDC) is seeking competitive lump sum all-inclusive (fees and disbursements) tenders for the provision of an Architect for the execution of the below project: The strategy identifies numerous objectives and improvement projects. One of these focusses on the Ferndown Community Centre. This project requires the following key works to the Ferndown Community Centre: - 1. Provide new relocated public conveniences within a new extension to the centre and to demolish the part of the existing Pennys Walk public conveniences. The new facility to provide a of series separately accessible unisex cubicles for ladies and gents as well as facilities for people with disabilities (to a Changing Places standard) and unisex baby changing. 2. To extend and improve the café area of the centre (making minimal alterations where possible to the centre and food preparation / kitchen / servery areas to facilitate this) to provide an outward facing and possibly part open-air experience 3. To demolish part of the existing Pennys Walk public conveniences and to turn the site occupied by them into a quality open space environment within the public realm. 4.
