No. of Specialists to Evaluate 5 Cultural Fit Criteria Agile Approach Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 65% Cultural fit 5% Price 30% Questions from Suppliers 1. Please can you confirm if this role is inside / outside of IR35? The IR35 status is that the intermediaries legislation doesn't apply to this engagement. 2. Is there a current incumbent or is this a new role? No 3. The rate seems low. Is there any flexibility there please? Yes there could be some flexibility in the day rate up to £500 per day (or potentially £550 for a top candidate). This is consistent with the Data & Advanced Analytics typical rates for Database Developers for Scotland. 4. I agree on the rate issue. Even £550 all-in is pretty low for an Azure (Data Lakes/Data Factory etc) Database Specialist. There aren't that many of these people about, certainly given the location and people may have to stay over during the weeks if travelling from further South. They command a high rate for that reason. Would you perhaps re-issue this piece of work at around the £600-£650 (max) mark? We will be letting the procurement run its course and if we don’t manage to secure someone we’ll review and go back to the market if required.
