SOJ-HCS-T General Practitioner Support for Patients in HCS Nursing Areas - 2018

Tender description

The service will provide GP medical assessment and continuing clinical responsibility for patients, residing across four Health and Community Services (HCS) areas, subject to the overriding responsibility of the hospital consultant. Patients in the majority of these areas will primarily be over sixty-five years of age but there will be younger patients in the mental health assessment areas where their medical and physical needs are best assessed and met by GP’s. The provision of the service will include both normal working hours and out of hours cover as detailed within the body of the specification. The new service provision will be operating under the new Mental Health (Jersey) Law 2016 and the Capacity and Self-Determination Law 2016. Keywords: general practitioner, gp, doctor
