Tender description

This notice relates to the provision of Data Centre facilities and the related services (energy, connectivity and physical security) necessary to house and provide an operating environment for physical computing infrastructure from two separate locations, based on minimum supplier capabilities. Southern Water are seeking to move their data centre into these 2 co-located facilities. Suppliers should review the full description of the co-location facilities PIN and review how to register interest to the Supplier Day. The envisaged term of the Co-Location Facilities contract is to run for an initial term of 5 years, with an option to extend by a further period, or periods, up to 10 years (15 years total). The notice also includes the information to a planned Supplier Day, for both Co-Location providers and providers of Hyper-Converged solutions to be installed within the co-location facilities by a separate tender (not under this project). The scope of the services includes: 1) Data Centre Facilities; 2) Full control of the environment; 3) Power Requirements / Configuration; 4) Racking and racking space; 5) Site Security; 6) Smart/Intelligent Hands; 7) Network Services; 8) Additional Services. The Notice includes the information to a planned Supplier Day, for both Co-Location providers and providers of Hyper-Converged solutions to be installed within the co-location facilities by a separate tender (not under this project). The Supplier Day will be held at the following location, on the 5.9.2018. The day will start from 0930 and the morning will focus on the co-location facility scope and tender. During the afternoon session, the team will focus on hardware and hyper-converged solutions. The session has been created to ensure that the Southern Water tender, following this PIN, aligns to the suppliers and to validate the business requirements against supplier offerings. A further RFI may be issued to those who attend the Supplier Day. Supplier Day Address — London, W1W The full address can be obtained by registering interest with Southern Water. The morning session will start at 9:30 until 12:30. The afternoon session will run from 13:30 until 16:30. The 2 sessions will provide background on Southern Water, outline the challenge faced the desired outcome and review the proposed high level scope. There will also be open floor sessions, enabling the suppliers to speak with Southern openly. Within both the morning and afternoon sessions, Southern Commercial and Legal teams will be present to ask questions. Suppliers must provide interest to Southern Water to attend the session, confirming a maximum of three attendees per supplier, where emails should be directed to the sourcing lead using the following email address (steven.kane@southernwater.co.uk). Following the Supplier Day, it is envisaged that the contract notice, and tender documents will be released 4 weeks from the Supplier Day, with all PQQ responses submitted to this portal before the closing date listed in the new Contract Notice.
