Tender description

The Environment Agency is seeking to issue a tender for the provision of MEICA Operational services. The framework will require suppliers to provide design, supply and installation services relating the replacement and/or redesign of assets or components of assets. This could include works to improve the functionality, reliability, efficiency, resilience and operability of MEICA assets. All works undertaken must comply with European or British Standards and Environment Agency MEICA Standards. The framework will be let in 4 major Lots as detailed below with the potential of some sublots within each major lot. Will be for Contractors who are manufacturers of pumps or UK primary agents of manufacturers. Contractors to be able to supply and install pumps in simple situations such as direct replacement in a pump station. Contractors to include specialist diagnostics and repair skills. The type of pumps the Agency require are: — Submersibles / canisters / Shaft driven + eel friendly versions — Borehole — Archimedes + eel friendly versions Will be for Contractors who are manufacturer and install control panels. Contractors are expect to be able to build, install MCC’s up to a defined size and have specialist diagnostics and repair skills. Will for be for Contractors who are able to design, fabricate, install water control structures and actuation or UK primary agents of manufacturers who can carry out the above works. To be able to install water control structures in cases requiring no or minimal civils or electrical work. The types water control structures the Agency require on this Lot are: — Flap valves >1sq m — Penstocks — Vertical gates — Radial gates — Displacement operated radial gates — Tilting gates — Sector gates — Lock gates — Vehicle/pedestrian gates Dedicated M and E contractors able to project manage and act as principle contractor to carry out work under multiple specialisms covered by lots 1 to 3 and other small MEICA works. Eg manage the refurbishment of a pump station requiring pumps, some civils work, pipework modification, penstocks and electrical control systems.
