Tender description

Design and Construction of 400 spaces Multi Storey Car park, interchange and Station Building enhancements. a) Enabling Works — To design and build a Temporary at-Grade Car park, providing circa 200 spaces; b) A 400 spaces MSCP. Design involves a modular steel frame on piled foundations with a flexible paving system to the ground floor and solid composite floor slabs on the upper levels. A secondary steel frame fixing system for the façade treatment is required. External to carpark will be a bus interchange and accommodation for approximately 4 busses; c) Station Building — Existing station Grade 2 listed building and material alterations will be sympathetic with the heritage context. A new ticket hall to be created; d) Public Realm — External to station building, a taxi rank and drop-off point will be introduced; e) To design and build a new Customer Information Screens in station foyer and MSCP and additional CCTV coverage in the new foyer and booking hall; f) Relocates and refurbishes facilities affected by the works including a waiting room, ladies’ toilets ad BTP office; g) Relocation of existing gate lines and associated interface works. Expressions of Interest are invited via email to anil.kukreja@gwr.com. NO other documentation is required to be submitted at this stage. PQQ documentation will be issued to all the applicants following the closing date of this Notice. Only organisations capable of managing/delivering the whole works need apply as the works will not be split into separate lots. It is intended to award a single contract for all the packages of works outlined above.
