Pontus Research is seeking quotations for the design, engineering, supply and install of research scale RAS aquaculture units and infrastructure to help deliver a fully up to date facility for the provision of services related to research and development of products for aquaculture as part of an expansion plan scheduled for 2018/19. Pontus Research is seeking quotations for the design, engineering, supply and install of research scale RAS aquaculture units and infrastructure to help deliver a fully up to date facility for the provision of services related to research and development of products for aquaculture as part of an expansion plan scheduled for 2018/19. Quotations are invited by suppliers for the design, engineering, supply, install commissioning of number of RAS to include the following services/components/units: Design and engineering including 3D visualisations. New systems: — 16 x 1.5 m3 tanks system (nutrition with faeces collectors) — 16 x 500 litre tanks system (nutrition) — 16 x 200 litre tanks system (challenge) — 8 x 1.5 m3 tanks system (quarantine) Refurb and move existing systems: — 24 x 100 litre tanks system (nutrition) — 12 x 200 litre tanks system (nutrition) — 12 x 200 litre tanks system (nutrition) — 4 x 300 litre tanks system + add 2 new tanks (quarantine) Ancillary: — Incoming mains water treatment (carbon filtration) to all systems, — Saltwater mixing tank (4 m3) plus delivery to all systems. All systems are to include solids removal, biofiltration, degassing, UV and low-level ozone disinfection, temperature control (approximately 10 to 30 degrees), oxygenation and will be specced for up to 35 ppt saltwater and the relevant temperature range. Tenders are invited only based on the supplier being able to provide appropriate aftercare and servicing of equipment, plus call out for breakdown within reasonable time frames (4 hours of less) given the intensive nature of the business and life critical nature of the supplied equipment. The equipment and services will need to be installed at the facilities of Pontus Research in Hirwaun, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Wales).
