Tender description

Please find attached tender documents for a appointment of Suppliers/Contractors (maximum of 4 number) onto a framework for the Production of Books in the TII Heritage Series and other TII series. Please note that successful Suppliers/Contractors will sign up to the framework agreement for a period of four years with mini-competitions under the framework will be run between the framework members for individual services/production of books. These call-offs will be let using the Service Contract at Appendix 6 of the RFT. In summary, the Services comprise: the envisgaed production (copy-editing, cover design, layout, typesetting, indexing and proofing), printing (lithographic), and delivery of approximately 10 books in the TII Heritage Series and other occasional TII-related books. (The typical size of each book will be 200–260 pages, including cover, prelims and end matter.) The production of an eBook version (in .epub format) of each book will also be required, as will low- and high-resolution PDFs of each book. The design of future titles in the series should generally adhere to the style of previous books in the series and to the desktop publishing templates provided to the successful Tenderer(s). TII will supply all text, drawings and photographs for the books. Tenderers should note that this Services Contract shall be for a framework duration of four years, with a maximum of four Tenderers/Contractors appointed to the framework subject to qualification
