Tender description

The provision of subscription services in respect of Science Direct and other content provided by Elsevier. The Contracting Authority wishes to enter into an agreement with Elsevier for the following resources: Science Direct hosted journals (including Cell Press Journals), Compendex, Embase, IE Engineering Village, Inspec, Reaxys, Knovel, SciVal, and Scopus. The proposed contract, if agreed, will be for a period of up to five years, subject to annual review. The Contracting Authority is purchasing subscriptions on behalf of the following universities and institutes of technology in Ireland: University College Dublin; Dublin City University; Trinity College Dublin; National University of Ireland Galway; Maynooth University; University of Limerick; University College Cork; Dublin Institute of Technology, Athlone Institute of Technology, Cork Institute of Technology, Dundalk Institute of Technology, Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Institute of Art Design and Technology, Institute of Technology Blanchardstown, Institute of Technology Carlow; Institute of Technology Sligo; Institute of Technology Tallaght; Institute of Technology Tralee; Letterkenny Institute of Technology; Limerick Institute of Technology; Institute of Technology Waterford. Elsevier is one of the primary publishers of science journals for Irish Higher Education Institutions. There are over 3,000 journal titles and scientific databases included in the proposed procurement that are published and disseminated exclusively by Elsevier and are not available from any other provider.
