SOJ-JFM-Vehicle Lease Hire contract

Tender description

Tenders are invited for the supply of lease-hire vehicles to be used by States Departments via the Department for Growth, Housing and Environment – Jersey Fleet Management (JFM) which is acting as the lead Department in this area. The envisaged fleet size being in the order of 100 vehicles (Guernsey 50 vehicles). The full maintenance contract will be awarded for a three-year term with vehicles being replaced either on a minimum twelve month cycle, or on a thirty-six month cycle covering the full term of the contract. The contract is to cover: • vehicle supply, • full maintenance, • out of hours breakdown assistance • adequate provision of replacement vehicles in cases of vehicles being off the road through defect or for routine servicing The contract when awarded will be effective from mid-January 2019 to mid-January 2021. Jersey and Guernsey Joint Working The States of Jersey and States of Guernsey see this as an opportunity to work together to explore the potential of a pan-Island agreement for the provision of these services. As such this tender is set out to enable suppliers to offer a combined Jersey and Guernsey solution where it is possible for the supplier to do so. Any proposal for a joint Jersey and Guernsey service provision will be evaluated by the evaluation team. It is not a requirement for tenderers to offer a joint Jersey and Guernsey bid where it is not possible for the supplier to do so. The States of Jersey and Guernsey reserve the right to consider any joint bid on an individual basis and therefore companies should bid with this in mind.
