Tender description
The Cemeteries Office is required under the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984 to provide a dignified and respectful funeral for a person who has passed away where no one is able or willing to make the funeral arrangements. Currently Ipswich Borough Council has been arranging on average between 20 and 30 public health funeral a year since 2016. We have seen an increase of referrals over the last few years.
