Tender description

The Council wishes to appoint an independent provider to undertake the management and delivery of the Wellbeing component of the South Gloucestershire Integrated Healthy Lifestyles and Wellbeing service, working in an integrated way with the Council’s Healthy Lifestyles component and in partnership with community groups and providers. South Gloucestershire Council will be implementing an Integrated Healthy Lifestyles and Wellbeing Service from April 2019. Within this new integrated service there are 2 key components: 1) A Wellbeing component to be delivered by a prime provider and forms the basis of this procurement and 2) A Healthy Lifestyles component which is to be managed and delivered in house by South Gloucestershire Council. The Council therefore wishes appoint of an independent prime provider who will be responsible for managing delivery of the Wellbeing component of the service, working in an integrated way with the Council’s Healthy Lifestyles component and in partnership with community groups and providers. The Wellbeing Provider will support individuals and communities to deliver high quality activities that embed the principles of prevention, recovery, mental wellbeing and self-care to improve individual wellbeing and reduce health inequalities. The procurement is for an initial period of three years with the Council having authority to extend if it so decides for a further period of up to 2 years. The Council will consider tenders from providers who wish to come together to deliver a single entity, consortia or sub-contracting arrangement for this service.
